Farm Tour + Cheese Tasting

Farm Tour + Cheese Tasting
AUD $50.00
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Location: Gerringong, NSW

This is the full monty farm tour! (So to speak, everyone will be fully dressed, we promise.)

A detailed 2-hour walk and talk around everything we do here - and includes a detailed cheese tasting at the end.

We'll show you all our animal systems here including laying hens, honey bees, ducks, turkeys, pigs and our beloved dairy goats. (There'll be lots of goat cuddles!)

We have multiple gardens to visit and inspire you; the kitchen veggie garden overlooking the sea, a medicinal herb garden, a commercial cut flower garden and a coffee grove of 90 established coffee trees.

We'll start with a brief chat outlining the history of farming in the area, we'll talk about the organic and regenerative agricultural practices we have going on here, and we'll talk about living and working on a modern small-scale sustainable farm.

We'll take a tour of the dairy, walk through the incredibly beautiful cut flower garden and spend some time playing with the goats.

You'll finish with a cheese tasting and there will be an opportunity to purchase our range of cheeses at the end of the tour.

We'd love you to visit and hope to meet you soon!

Bookings are essential. Please see the "Start Booking Now" box for available dates.

Parents please note: The Farm Tour + Cheese Tasting isn't designed for very small children. We recommend the 'Goat Therapy' tour for young kids.

Please contact us directly for group or private bookings on 0414 703 958.

Cancellations

Please do not visit Buena Vista Farm if you’re unwell, or are experiencing cold or flu symptoms.

Bookings are non-refundable. If you need to cancel or change your class date and give us 10 days notice we're happy to re-book you for a future class. If you need to cancel at the last minute please feel free to send a friend in your place. If for any reason your tour is cancelled we will of course refund you in full.

Buena Vista Farm is a working farm and home

When you arrive, please park your car on the grass in front of the farmhouse and we will be there to meet you and check you in (which we do electronically) to create a register of all visitors to the farm.

Before starting the tour Fiona and Adam will provide a brief introduction. Please note you are responsible for any children accompanying you, please ensure they maintain appropriate social distancing from other visitors and are supervised by you for the duration of your visit.

Cheese tasting

Each group who have booked and arrived together will receive a small plate of cheeses to try with descriptions offered by the cheesemaker.

Farm shop

At the end of the tour there’s an opportunity to purchase farm-made products if you’re interested – we can accept cash or card. Don't forget to bring your cool bag!

We look forward to hosting you!
